Inspired.
Lately, I’ve been feeling inspired.
Is it obvious?
Like, REALLY, REALLY inspired. The kind of inspiration that makes you all twitchy and jump-out-of-your-skin- ish. I find myself smack-dab in the middle of a very uplifting personal journey…one that I’ve drug my little family along for…and I’m loving it. (And, I like to think they are, too.)
I’ve been awakened. Reborn.
The energy that is flowing within me is sometimes hard for me to control, leaving me with rushes of adrenaline throughout the day that encourage me to do more, be more, push more. More! More! More! At times I can barely concentrate on the task at hand because I’m feeling so inspired to just be. I probably need to plop down in a meditative pose in my office every few hours to find my center, balance and purpose…it’s that strong.
I’m certain this inspiration and energy was brought on by my weight loss and I look forward to discovering just how much I grow mentally, physically and spiritually as I shed the next 28.8 pounds (What? Who’s counting?)…
I’m happy.
I feel more connected to my husband than I have in years, more connected to my children and able to more fully live with intention in the amazing moments I have with them. I am feeling connected to earth. Inspired by it. I long for the warmer weather, just to let the sun hit my face and the breeze blow through my hair. I can almost feel the earth beneath my feet on long hikes with my family. I’m feeling challenged to get more engaged with the world around me. More aware of the endless opportunities that exist for me…out there. (Out there is probably where some of you think I am right. Go ahead, say it. I don’t mind.)
I feel more connected to God. More aware of myself as a spiritual being. More compassionate for others and more fully aware of my ability to grow deeper in my own spiritual quest.
And, more than anything else, I feel connected to the food that I put in my body. More aware of the sources of energy I provide, not only myself, but also my children. I recently became a member of Green B.E.A.N. Delivery - a local company that provides local, organic produce, vegetables and groceries…and boy, can I just say that after our first delivery I can already tell that THIS? Is for us. The fresh fruit and vegetables have already led to more creative meals, more delicious snacks and…a family focused on eating local and organic – which we all know the importance of…
Honestly, a LOT of people/businesses have been inspiring me lately. Helping me find my center. Allowing me to grow deeper in my understanding of what’s important, what will help me continue this healthy lifestyle and what will keep me feeling energized for life.
I thought I’d share. You like sharing, right? When you’re inspired, you like sharing.
- Smile with your Heart - I challenge you to read her blog and NOT be inspired.
- Whole New Tomorrow - I kinda (fiance of my Nanny’s brother) know Savanna. Her blog connects yoga to food. And not just any food…incredibly healthy, mostly vegan food.
- Tiny Devotions - mala beads. Need I say more?
- Eat, Play, Namaste. - Another amazingly adorable and inspirational blog.
- Skyler Clothing - I categorize them with companies that make me want to MOVE. (More coming on this very soon.)
- Green B.E.A.N. Delivery - (see above.)
- TOM Shoes- if you follow me on Twitter, you know that I am beyond upset I can buy these with PayPal. Or? They’d be mine already.
- Yah Bag’s - Her beautiful shop reminds me daily, that all of us recycling does not one ounce of good if we can’t convince the world to buy recycled product. And? I love her. She is my breath of fresh air.
- Paige’s Princess Run - Possibly my first 5K. And a young girl that will never be forgotten…
- The Paige Ryan Project - How can two human beings think about other people, in their deepest and darkest moments of grief? They are nothing, if not inspirational. They challenge me everyday to think outside of myself. Consider others. And live intentionally.
I hope you’ll find these somewhat inspirational as well…
I know that I’ve been a bit scattered lately, here. I have found that the inspiration isn’t to write, but rather to DO. Which, is cutting into my blogging time and inspiration greatly…but you have to take the good with that bad, right? =)

It’s nice to see you in such good spirits… you deserve every ounce of inspiration you are feeling… and it’s contageous!
I am desperatately jealous of your organic food delivery… it’s not available here… although we do have coops – where we can pick up baskets of food. (but having it delivered! that’s incredible!)
I did go to the Green Bean Website, and I’m ecstatic about the recipes that they have on there! And the tips for storing food… great link! Thanks for sharing!
