Last Minute Loss in Week 11.

So, week 11 on Medifast REALLY didn’t want to rock.  I mean, it put up a good fight.  It gave me every reason to cheat, tempted me with self-doubt, made the scale fluctuate, and even threw in a dinner with friends (obviously, a very good reason to cheat, BUT, I didn’t.)

And this morning?  The only thing I have against week 11 is that it couldn’t let go of JUST .8 more pounds

But, I blame the Riesling for that.  That ONE glass of wine I chose to have at dinner, that taunted me from the menu…with a name like Saint Michelle Chateau…who could resist? It rolled off my tongue so effortlessly.

And my god, it got me SO buzzed.  Apparently, having a glass of wine after a major weight loss effects your tolerance.

Who knew?

Here’s the run-down, homies.

Weight lost this week: 3.4

Weight Lost To Date:  39.2

Weight left to Lose: 35.8

First Goal: 10 pounds REACHED 1/3/2011

Second Goal: 20 pounds (Reward: Pedicure) REACHED 1/23/2011

Mini-Goal: 30 pounds (Reward: Outfit for my BFF’s 30th bday party) REACHED 2/21/11

Third Goal:  40 pounds (Reward: Easter Outfit)

Success: I’m over half-way there!! It feels SO good to be on the downward side of the diet! I can almost taste “Transition”! For the first time EVER I can be honest with myself and know, deep in my gut, that this is it.  I won’t be overweight much  longer…

Set-Backs:  I  had one glass of wine at dinner Saturday night.  That being said, I worked out with the personal trainer on Saturday morning for an hour and really, really pushed myself…so I knew I had some extra calories I could eat in the day…but still, it’s the first (and hopefully, only) time I’ve cheated on this diet.

Exercise:  I start seeing the personal trainer every Tuesday and Thursday, from 6-7 a.m., this week!  I’ll still be doing yoga on Tuesday nights, too.  And, this frees up my Saturday’s to run (now that it’s getting warm),  or bike with my family.

Spring hasn’t felt this good in a LONG time.

You’re doing AWESOME.

Here’s a positive about that glass of wine – you ARE on the fast-track to no longer being overweight, which means that at some point, you have to start thinking “maintenance mode,” which will probably mean a glass of wine. So this moderation of one glass of wine for the week for a special event & then working it off with a trainer? I think that is something to be proud of. You didn’t go overboard. That one glass of wine didn’t turn into three glasses + the bread basket. It was just one glass of wine.

Way to rock it, Tiff.

me too!! only last night i didn’t just have 1 glass of wine, i drank virtually the whole bottle over the course of the evening. guess what. this morning, drinking tons of water (and some advils) ha. right back on the straight and narrow. and, was really good on the diet all day, and walked 1.5 miles too. so this is life. and as blair said above – it’s the way life is. you didn’t go overboard. be proud, and rock on sista!

Look at you! You are doing amazing!! Now that week 2 is over, I’m going to start incorporating exercise… I know that it will work big time for me. I just need to figure out WHEN to squeeze it in. Sigh.

Girl, you are one of the bloggers who’s inspired me the most! I don’t know you in life, but I’m so proud!! Isn’t that number just crazy??? How can a person actually comprehend that much weight lost? How many gallons of ice cream and french fries is 39 pounds??? Oprah did a thing like that where she dragged out a wagon of fat. ewey. maybe I should keep a jar of lard on my counter when I get the urge to snack on something. LoL

Thanks for linking up on my blog. I’ve been slacking w socializing on blogs the last week or 2….shame on me! xoxo
